medwireNews : The US FDA has expanded pembrolizumab’s indications to include the treatment of patients with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer, and for those with relapsed or refractory primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma (PMBCL).

Pretreatment levels of circulating tumor DNA, as well as changes during therapy, are independently prognostic of outcomes in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and can add to established risk factors, findings indicate.

The first of these – a multicenter phase II trial that was reported simultaneously at the 2017 American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, USA – enrolled 111 patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma, or transformed follicular lymphoma that had not responded to prior treatment.
