RADICALS is a multi-arm trial seeking to establish the optimal timing for radiotherapy after radical prostatectomy and the optimal use of concurrent androgen deprivation therapy. For the first objective, men are assigned to receive radiotherapy either immediately after the surgical procedure or at time of biochemical failure. And for the second objective, participants receive no, short-term (6 months), or long-term (24 months) hormone therapy.

The researchers presented initial findings from the radiotherapy timing comparison at the ESMO Congress 2019:
